About USRowing
Who We Are
USRowing is both a national membership organization and the national governing body recognized by the United States Olympic Committee for the sport of rowing in the United States. Established in 1872 as the National Association of Amateur Oarsmen, USRowing is the oldest national governing body for sport in the country.
What We Do
As the national governing body, USRowing selects, trains, coaches, and manages the athletes who represent the United States in international competition, including the World Rowing Championships and the Olympic Games. As a membership organization, USRowing provides a variety or services and racing opportunities to the nation’s rowing community. Whether it’s running a national championship regatta, providing well-trained officials for a local dual race, promoting national learn-to-row day, or helping an organization get up and running, USRowing is at the front and center of promoting, developing, and supporting the sport.
